Toms River Green Team sponsors “Spring Six” Parks Challenge
(Toms River, NJ) Love the outdoors? Whether you enjoy playing sports, the water or simply taking in a breathtaking view, you can do it all at Toms River’s beautiful parks.
From March 30 – April 8, the Toms River United Sustainability Team (TRUST), is challenging residents to get out and get active in six of Toms River’s beautiful parks.
The Toms River United Sustainability Team is proud to partner with Keller Williams Realtors “The O’Shea Group” and Dakan Homes to provide over $450 in prizes. Awards will be provided for Best Individual Photo, Best Video, Best of All 6 Parks (photo or video), Fan Favorite (most likes) per age category for elementary, middle and high school students. In addition, prizes for all around categories will be awarded for Best Promoter (most tags back) and Best Group/Team Picture.
To join the challenge and be eligible for prizes, go to the TRUST Facebook page @sustainableTRNJ, and sign up for the event by clicking “going” on the event page. Then visit Huddy Park, Castle Park, Riverwood Park, Silverton Park, Winding River Park, and Bayside Park over the week of Toms River Regional Schools spring break. Post your photos and videos according to the instructions and show the world your outdoorsy side. If you cannot visit all six parks, you will still be eligible for individual photo and video prizes.
The “Spring Six” Challenge is open to all ages, and individuals, families, businesses, youth organizations, civic organizations and all are encouraged to participate. Businesses interested in participating by providing water and/or free giveaways at the parks during the event should apply with the Toms River Recreation Department no later than Tuesday March 27, 2018.
Take pictures, earn prizes and have fun making “naturally” wonderful memories!
