Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce Adam Binder
The Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce leverages our coastal beauty and rich history to drive a new era of economic innovation and growth. In order for us to achieve our goals, our involvement and participation in activities that create jobs and promote the development of existing businesses is essential. Equally important is our knowledge of public policy and legislative/regulatory issues, and our partnerships with government, military, healthcare, and educational sectors.
I quickly recognized the importance of the Chamber as a valuable tool for finding clients and for collaborating with others in and around Ocean County. The Chamber of the past few years has become the driver of economic development for Toms River and the surrounding areas. We bring together both for-profit and not-for-profit businesses with an eye towards the future of our vital, vibrant shore community.

Member Connect has been a real game-changer for Creative Click Media. Last year alone, the connections made at member connect accounted for approximately 30% of our annual revenue. This game-changing networking event allowed us to find both new customers, and service providers to take care of our business needs, while also providing an opportunity to build on existing relationships. Member Connect, and the Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce have proven to be an invaluable resource for the growth of our business.

The Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce has made an enormous impact on my business since I joined about a year and a half ago. The Member Connect events, in particular, have given me many great opportunities. It’s “speed networking” format makes the conversations very business oriented, but still maintains a personal, community focus, which allows everyone to open up and speak about themselves and/or their business. Results speak for themselves, and at SocialTrend, 43% of our business has come directly from people in the chamber or referrals from chamber members. I am a huge advocate for the Greater Chamber of Commerce, because I know the effect it has had on my business in such a short period of time!

We are new members of the Toms River Chamber of Commerce. One of the benefits of our membership was a free Business Spotlight article in the Asbury Park Press. This article ran on October 3, 2016 and the Press was kind enough to run it during Open Enrollment, for us. The day the article hit and every day since then, we have been receiving a high volume of phone calls from new customers who saw our ad. The response we received was unbelievable. Since our article hit, they have used us as source for any articles that deal with Medicare and have quoted us several times in those articles. We cannot thank the Toms River Chamber and the Asbury Park Press enough for their help in expanding our customer base. It has been one of the most amazing benefits of any of our memberships with chambers or networking events.. Let me know if this works thanks!

The Jersey Shore Council is excited to announce this year’s Good Turn Award Honoree is Don Gaurdian, Toms River Twp.’s Business Administrator and former Scout Executive. The Good Turn Award is presented to an individual who is a leader in the community, exemplifying the ideals of Scouting in their business and personal lives. The Council will present the award at the 25th Annual Ocean County Garden Party on June 9th at Diane and Bruce Turton’s residence.
The money raised at this year’s event helps us provide quality programming emphasizing character, leadership and positive achievement. These opportunities not only help them when they are young, but also carry forward into their adult lives … improving their relationships, their work & family lives, and the values by which they live.
